Not far outside the Forwell gates dwells a small gathering of tents where certain vendors of unspoken materials often meet prior to entering the city. This cluster of tents is usually referred to as "The Roost." This is a smuggler's haven, and a place to meet outside the sight of the Forwellian Guard.

Wealthy Estates, Gated Communities, and Guardhouses fill this district. The wealthiest and most powerful people all have manors, mansions, and mini-fortresses though the largest and most impressive is Viktor's.

Peasants, serfs, and lower class people live here. Money is tight, housing is basic, and families are large. People have learned to trust and rely on each other to survive. Bartering is a common form of commerce here.

The Desert Realm Multi-User Domain is a text-based roleplaying game using a telnet program to connect to it. While this uses the same setting as the play-by-post game, it shouldn't be confused with it. What happens in one will not affect the other; however, both may share the same monsters, races, and other common items.

To quickly connect, point your favorite telnet program to desertrealm.com port 2222.
