A LEAST 500 characters, eh? Ok, the guiding goal of the Chivalry Steel site is to provide an online resource to aid in 'The Quest for the Perfect Medieval Sword'. A large part of the resource is discussion of just about everything steely and swordly. This part is indexed by topic to make navigation easier. A second part, nearly as large, is a quiz which begins by asking why you want a sword, and then asks progressively more specific questions to zero in on your interest category. As simple as your individual interest in swords may seem to you, it is amazing how diverse such interests can be, and what is a sword to one, is a toy to another, or a boring tool to another, or even a demonic temptation (really). There are over 100 final categories in Find-A-Sword. Each offers compatible products we carry (if we carry compatible products) as well as keywords to leave the site with an Internet search, and general advice about shopping for the particular sword.
Our products section is composed strictly of those items we have either found lacking online, or have found online but at rediculous prices. The aim of the section is to provide unique value. Sometimes this means hand craftwork, sometimes low price, sometimes ingenius design, sometimes artistic flair. But in each case, the value is better (in our estimation) that what we have found elsewhere. There is a lot of unfortunate price gouging occurring in swords: especially those designed primarily for display.
